Birthday celebrations on a global scale

This year, long-standing Northstar client Harkness had one very special reason to celebrate.

Founded in 1928 by Andrew Harkness and now the cinema screen brand in 2 out of 3 cinemas the world over, Harkness celebrated their 90th birthday with a brand transformation and global marketing initiative.

The year-long project started with Northstar managing internal workshops in global locations (well, someone had to do them!!) with the resulting campaign including brand articulation, new identity, global websites and digital marketing.

Working in a variety of languages the new campaign had a common and consistent theme of ‘90 years of innovation’ – a statement which firmly establishes the Harkness brand as the technology behind  world-leading cinema screen imagery.

To mark the anniversary, we also produced a special collector’s book, telling the Harkness story alongside original illustrations and quotes from some of the most notable films from the last 90 years – a distinctive way to celebrate the occasion with their most important clients.
