Another landmark project for Marshall
Marshall Group is a specialist in commercial construction and development, with projects from offices and hotels to major urban regeneration, often creating iconic, landmark buildings in the process. Over their 100-year history, they’ve developed several specialist divisions to cover all aspects of what they do, including construction and development, building management and joinery.
Bringing the businesses together
There are in fact eight Marshall businesses across four major locations, with a total of just over 200 employees. And while they all share the same dedication to making the built environment a better place, it became increasingly difficult to make sure the whole workforce were engaged and aware of what was happening within the Group. So Northstar came up with the solution.
Introducing the intranet
Starting from scratch, we developed and built a new intranet for the Group, designed to allow everyone who worked for any of the Marshall companies to log in, find key information and carry out all sorts of admin tasks – such as booking holidays, reading company communications and much more.
Effective, efficient…plus extra features
The new intranet has proved invaluable in keeping everyone in the business up to date and informed, and making sure the eight companies work in a more co-ordinated way. There are also a number of other useful features too – such as being able to post items wanted or for sale to colleagues, or even check the availability of vehicles!
